Special services

Patronal Festival

Sunday 29th August 2010, 10.30 am
We shall be having a special celebratory Parish Communion service to mark the feast of our Patron Saint, St Bartholomew, on 29 August at 10.30 am (with exciting refreshments afterwards!).

‘Back to Church Sunday’

26th September 2010, 10.30 am
After the astonishing popularity of this service in 2008 and 2009, we shall again be taking part in ‘Back to Church Sunday’.  This is a wonderful opportunity for us to extend an invitation to friends and neighbours to join us for a special service of welcome and celebration.  We shall again be singing our ‘top five’ favourite hymns (voting slips will be available to congregation members nearer the time!), and sharing a glass of wine together after the service.

Harvest Festival

Sunday 3rd October 2010 at 10.30 am
One of the highlights of our church’s year!  You are warmly invited to bring gifts of harvest produce to the service to be dedicated and distributed to the Karis Centre (the local charity that supports refugees and asylum seekers, who desperately need our help).  This year the service coincides with the fifth anniversary of Canon Joyce’s licensing here as Priest-in-Charge – so be prepared for some special celebrations!

All Souls’ Service

Sunday 31st October 2010 at 6.30 pm
On the evening of 31st October, we shall be holding our annual service in which we commemorate loved ones who have died.  We read their names aloud, and candles are lit in their memory.  If you have someone you would like to be remembered at this service, please contact the Priest-in-Charge.

Remembrance Sunday

14th November 2010, 10.30 am
Our annual service of Remembrance will take place on Sunday 14th November at 10.30 am, at which we remember the dead of two World Wars, and all who have died in the service of their country.
